Growing up and watching fascism change our hometown in just a few years. Which does not mean everyone turned fascist but after the manufacturing plants moved away the towns and people had to dream of strange ways to cover their budgets. Meanness began to rule so I bailed!
After decades of traveling around America and finding out who the people of the USA really were, rubbing shoulders with and helping whoever needed help. So, I could get a grasp on what kind of country the USA might be in the future.
Like many of the faithful I have always considered “What would Jesus do” in any situation.
But let’s take it a step further and consider what would happen to Jesus if he came in modern times.
Would he be able to get ID and would he even want to drive? Not before the Department of Homeland Security had their say. Would they even allow him an ID or would he be chased or hunted?
But before that, let’s remember that he had skills like healing people, instantly making people feel better, he could know how they were feeling and send thoughts to them. And that is before the wisdom and grace of his words.
What would a sadistic corporation do to exploit him for profits? Maybe brainwash him and say they put a magical chip in his brain? So they could sell brain implants.
And let’s not forget the Wall Street, corporation and military crew. How much money do you think they could make acting like they developed a super soldier?
But wait there is more. What could the moneychanger churches do? Capture him, put him in a glass cage so people would come and donate money to see him.
WHAT! Why such a cynical perspective? Sorry but everything I mentioned is part of the results of my quest to become great at objective behavioral science to include critical thinking. “You must live it to know it!”
