Sitting here thinking how wonderful that Christmas seems to push the actions of people toward kindness and brotherhood then ever so slowly moves back toward uncivilized dog eat dog barbarism. At the same time remembering how lucky it is to live in the USA where even though we take it for granted, our past generations worked hard so we could have even the simplest things like running water, heat in our homes and impressive food production and distribution systems.
Presents and kind gestures for people we don’t even know plus gifts for each other to at least imply that we care and are a part of a civilized society.
Whether you celebrate the thoughts and works of Jesus as Advent, Christmastide or just fellowship on Christmas Eve or Christmas day. Remember it is all about the power of love.
